Emily
Ryan is responsible for government affairs and lobbying efforts
in State and local government. Having a broad business background
in both large corporations and small start up environments,
she understands the impact government fees and regulations
have on businesses in Arizona. Her ability to convey that
understanding to both elected officials and staff alike produces
results.
Prior
to joining Copper State Consulting Group, she lobbied on behalf
of a trade association in 22 Arizona cities and towns as well
in state commissions and departments. In this role, Emily
was a finalist for the Metropolitan Pima Alliance Common Ground
Award, was appointed by Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon to the Development
Impact Fee Ad Hoc Committee, served on the Valley Partnership
Legislative Committee and was selected as the Business Journal’s
Forty Under 40 Class of 2008.
Her
background includes public and media relations, marketing
and sales for prominent Valley companies such as The Phoenix
Suns, FOX Broadcasting and FOX Sports Network. Emily devotes
much of her time to local volunteer efforts and currently
serves on the Auxiliary Board of Directors for the Fresh Start
Women’s Foundation and the City of Phoenix North Mountain
Village and Board of Adjustment.
An
Arizona Native, Emily attended Northern Arizona University
where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications
with a minor in Political Science, graduating on the Dean’s
List in three and a half years.
Emily
is a Phoenix resident.
